Commercial Sector: High House Farm

High House Farm is located adjacent to the the Royal Opera House's new Production Campus. The site provides ROH state-of-the-art production facilities, a new National Skills Academy for Performing Arts, Artists Studios and a range of other creative businesses. The High House Farm site consists of a Grade 2 Listed House, Farm Buildings and a Dovecote.

The Farm site was restored with minimum impact on its character to introduce a café and a multi-purpose events hall located within the Great Barn, a new office building, heritage display areas located in the former Stabling and meeting facilities in the former Cattle Sheds.

New MEP services were installed from a central plant location, including sub metered electricity, fibre optic high bandwidth IT facilities and ground source heating installed to provide energy efficient services.

Historic maps show evidence of quartered walled gardens. Half the Gardens were restored to an orchard the remaining half was laid to lawn and this conceals the buried ground source heating loops whilst creating a local retreat for people to visit and relax.
